Be sure your irrigation is scheduled to be turned on and serviced. You want to be sure the heads are adjusted and working properly before the irrigation system is needed.
Any aeration and/or dethatching should be done prior to your first lawn treatment. If not, you could ruin your pre-emergent barrier that is applied which helps prevent weeds from growing.
